  1.                           *** v. 2.10 Changes ***

  3.     This version incorporates v4 of the Independent JPEG Group's
  4. software.  You can smooth an image before saving it to JPEG; this
  5. improves compression of dithered images such as GIF files.
  6.     Version 3.21 of the TIFF library has been added; this version
  7. supports images that have been encoded as a single TIFF strip.  It also
  8. handles some palette images that formerly caused a GPF.  Thanks to R.
  9. Pasco for providing the problematic TIFF files.
  10.     TIFF files can be batch compressed to JPEG.  In addition, the batch
  11. compression feature no longer relies on the filename to determine the
  12. file format.
  13.     The currently displayed image is not erased when you open a new
  14. image.  Note that the data for the old image is discarded so that the
  15. old image cannot be re-painted if you move the window, scroll the image,
  16. etc.
  17.     Bug fix:  The slideshow/batch compression feature would not be able
  18. to handle more than 200 files.  Thanks to B. Woodcock for pointing out
  19. this bug.
  20.     Bug fix:  Changing the hue to a negative value would cause some
  21. pixels to change to incorrect colors.  Thanks to L. Haisley for pointing
  22. out this bug.
  23.     Bug fix:  After an image is resized, WinJPEG would not warn you
  24. that the image had been changed before opening another image or exiting.

  29.   - Added support for viewing/saving PCX, TIFF, and Windows
  30. BMP(compressed with RLE) files.

  96. - The following bugs are corrected:
  97.   - when you close WinJPEG with the system menu while it is decoding/
  98.     encoding an image, the program would continue running.  Also, temp.
  99.     files would be left in the temp. directory.
  100.   - when you resize the window or when you minimize the window and restore
  101.     it, the scroll bar-thumb's position would be lost.  Specifically, it
  102.     would be reset to the top of the scroll bar.
  103.   - the menu items would still be active during compression/
  104.     decompression of an image
  105.   - with some pictures, there was an extraneous blank vertical strip on
  106.      the right of the displayed picture.
  107.   - some of the buttons were missing an underlined character and the
  108.     buttons with the underlined character didn't respond to the ALT +
  109.     underlined character combination
  110.   - 24-bit bitmaps did not save correctly
  111. - Improved the scroll bar logic.  Many thanks to D. Yee for his suggestions
  112.   and pointing out most of the bugs listed above.
  113. - Changes to the Batch Conversion/Slideshow dialog boxes:  Only files with
  114.   valid file extensions, *.tga, *.gif, and *.jpg(for slideshow only), are
  115.   listed.  Added "*.jpg" button to the Slideshow dialog box.
